ABOUT ME
Mélanie LeBlanc is a New Brunswick (Canada) based translator with more than 15 years of experience in the performing arts. She is a passionate storyteller and translating is to her an extension of her work as a performer: another means of transmitting stories. Be it as an actor, singer, or translator, Mélanie is an engaged artist known for her social involvement, openness and creativity. Well traveled, she has an affinity for and an understanding of diverse cultural milieus.
In 2016, after earning a Bachelor of Translation from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Mélanie LeBlanc became a member of the Corporation of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of New Brunswick (CTINB). She also holds a Bachelor of Music from the Université de Moncton, a Diploma in Performing Arts from the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, and is a member of the CAEA, the ACTRA, the UDA, and of the AAAPNB.
Mélanie is a teaching assistant at the UQTR and has been a freelance translator for more than 10 years. Ongoing pet projects include: the translation of the novel Red Wolf by Jennifer Dance, and transcriptions for an animated short film series by Daniel Fournier.
